🎨General
BUBU Mini or BUBU Maxi, which one should I pick?
BUBU Mini is the try-out: 2.5 hours, about 30 x 30 cm, 99 EUR. Good for a coaster set, a mini wall picture, a small patch or a mug rug, from a template or a simple own motif. BUBU Maxi is the full experience: 4 hours, about 60 x 60 cm, 149 EUR, with your own design. Good for a wall rug, a small floor rug, a cushion cover or a piece of wall art. First time and just curious? Take BUBU Mini. Already have a design or want a piece for the wall? Take BUBU Maxi.
How big is the rug I take home?
About 30 x 30 cm in BUBU Mini and about 60 x 60 cm in BUBU Maxi. Both are finished, backed and ready to hang or lay on the floor.
From what age is the tufting workshop suitable?
Our tufting workshops in Paphos are suitable from 13 years. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility and assists when needed. From 16 you can join on your own.
Is the workshop suitable for complete beginners?
Absolutely. No prior knowledge is needed. We guide you through every step and stay by your side for the whole session. The tufting gun does most of the work.
Which languages do you teach in?
We run workshops in English and German. Everyone is welcome, whether you live here or are just visiting.
How long does a workshop last?
BUBU Mini runs 2.5 hours, BUBU Maxi 4 hours. We plan generously so your piece is usually finished before you leave. If you need more time you can extend your slot, subject to availability.
What should I bring?
Nothing except your idea. All materials and tools are included. Wear clothes that can get a little fluffy and closed shoes. Water, coffee, tea and light snacks are provided.
🧵Materials & Motifs
I am not sure my motif is feasible. What should I do?
Bring a few ideas on your phone. For a first piece a simple motif works best. We project your design onto the base fabric with a beamer so you can trace it cleanly and start right away.
Do you provide templates?
Yes. We have a curated selection of ready-made templates you can pick from on site, so you can jump straight in without your own design.
What is included in the price?
Professional tufting gun and all tools, primary tufting cloth, a wide yarn palette, frame and setup, finishing and backing materials, scissors, markers and stencil tools, plus drinks and snacks.
Can I choose my own yarn colours?
Yes. You choose freely from our palette on the day. Mix, contrast, go bold or keep it minimal. Custom colour requests are possible with two weeks notice.
What if I need more time?
We plan so your project is usually finished in time. If you need extra time you can extend your slot, subject to availability: 30 minutes for 5 EUR, 60 minutes for 10 EUR.
🎟️Booking & Payment
How does payment work?
You secure your spot online with a secure Stripe payment. You can pay in full or pay a 50 percent deposit now and the rest in the studio on the day. We accept cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay online, and cash or card in the studio.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel up to 24 hours before your workshop and we keep 50 percent of the fee. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the start, or a no-show, are charged in full. You confirm this policy when you book.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes. Gift vouchers are a perfect present for birthdays, anniversaries or anyone who loves crafts. Buy them online or directly in the studio.
Can I book a private session for a group?
Yes. From 6 people we run private sessions: weddings, birthdays, hen and stag parties, private parties and team events. Get in touch and we plan the afternoon around you.
